I am Ralph Obray, principal at Expedition Academy High School. Just a little background information…My family and I love the Green River area. I love the outdoors, camping, biking, alpine skiing, and basically most activities. I grew up involved in school and extra-curricular activities. Eventually school and the activities paid off as I attended Brigham Young University on a full ride athletic scholarship. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and my Master’s degree in Administration from Grand Canyon University. I have been in education now going on 20 years. I have worked as a high school principal, assistant principal/dean of students K-12, district athletic director, athletic director, and high school teacher. I have coached football, basketball, baseball, track and field, and alpine skiing at the high school level. I taught a variety of subjects: high School Anatomy / Physiology, Physical Science, Biology, Health, P.E., Weight Training, and 6th grade Science/English.
As a member of the Green River learning community, I strongly believe that every student can learn and grow to meet their individual needs and achieve academic success. The staff at Expedition Academy is dedicated to building a safe, compassionate community of lifelong learners who are inspired to become respectful, responsible, cooperative, innovative, independent thinkers, and problem solvers. It has been amazing to be around the Expedition Academy staff and witness the high expectations they hold for themselves and our students. We continue to be committed in helping each student here at Expedition Academy reach their individual goals and look forward to a great year.
Thank you for sharing your Student/child with us here at Expedition Academy!
